Quick and Easy Pizza Crust Recipe:

  • 1 (.25 ounce) package active dry yeast
  • 1 teaspoon white sugar
  • 1 cup warm water (110 degrees F/45 degrees C)
  • 2 1/2 cups 00 bread flour
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • In a medium bowl, dissolve yeast and sugar in warm water. Let stand until creamy, about 10 minutes.
  • Stir in flour, salt, and oil. Beat until smooth but not sticky. Let rest for 5-10 minutes.
  • Turn dough out onto a lightly floured surface and pat or roll into a size that you're happy with. We like ours a little irregular. Transfer crust to a baker's peel dusted with cornmeal.

BBQ Chicken Pizza Toppings:
    • Equal parts Ranch Hand BBQ Sauce and your favourite pizza sauce
    • 2 cups smoked chicken breast, shredded
    • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
    • 1/2 cup red onion, thinly sliced
    • 1/4 cup fresh coriander, chopped

    Instructions for Pizza:

    • Preheat your Weber kettle grill for indirect cooking over charcoal. Place a pizza stone on the grill grate and allow it to warm up with the grill.
    • Prepare the pizza crust using the quick and easy pizza crust recipe above.
    • Mix Ranch Hand BBQ Sauce and pizza sauce together, then spread evenly over the pizza crust.
    • Top with shredded smoked chicken, mozzarella cheese, red onion slices, and chopped cilantro.
    • Carefully transfer the assembled pizza onto the preheated pizza stone on the Weber kettle grill. Don't forget the cornmeal to help it slide.
    • Cover the grill and cook the pizza for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
    • Remove the pizza from the grill using a pizza peel or large spatula. Allow it to cool for a few minutes before slicing.
    • Slice and enjoy your delicious BBQ Chicken Pizza!

Hot Tip! If you don't have a pizza stone, you're missing out! Pizza stones are effective because they absorb and retain heat, creating a hot, even cooking surface that mimics the floor of a wood-fired oven. Here are key benefits

Even Heat Distribution: Pizza stones evenly distribute heat, preventing hot spots and ensuring the crust cooks uniformly.

Crispy Crusts: The porous surface of the stone absorbs moisture from the dough, resulting in a crispier crust,

High Temperature: Stones can withstand high temperatures, allowing pizzas to cook quickly and thoroughly.
